How can competitive guys like John McEnroe not to be… competitive? This is the question!
The American Legend is a keen participant of the Senior Circuit, but unfortunately he is becoming a bit too senior (that’s life isn’t it?).
So at 56 John is finding it difficult to play against the “new seniors” to comment “There’s a point when the gap is too much between us and the next wave of seniors. It is too much to play these guys, it’s tough enough to face a guy like Jim Courier.”
McEnroe will play an exhibition match against Jim Courier in New Haven.
I now appreciate every single match I play
John added “It’s getting to be where every match that I play now I try to appreciate, because I don’t know how much longer I can stay out there,”
Newly retired players such as Roddick and Blake are also starting to play the Legends Event… a bit too much for John that remains an absolute icon for the sport.
JOHN, FOR US YOU ARE AGELESS! |
