After suffering injuries this season, Emma Raducanu of Britain has provided an update on when she expects to return to tennis. She is aiming for a 2024 comeback.

Raducanu had surgery on her ankle in May in addition to a minor procedure on both hands in response to a frequent wrist issue that plagued her in the early months of 2023.
Although Raducanu initially stated that she thought her absence would only last a few months, it has since been confirmed that she won’t be fully recovered until at least 2024.

She informed the media in an interview: “Next season, I’ll be back. This season, all the slams were finished, so it was difficult to watch them go by, but I was trying to stay in my lane as much as possible and keep focused on my recovery.”

Raducanu gained popularity when she won the US Open in 2021, making history as the first qualifier to win a major singles title in the Open era.

Raducanu has been seen working out hard lately in order to prepare for the challenge of making a comeback to the world of professional tennis.
