In advance of the 2023 WTA Finals in Cancun, Mexico, Coco Gauff is the most recent player among the eight women in the group to arrive.
On Sunday, October 29, the highly regarded women’s season finale is scheduled to begin. Gauff will aim to finish off an incredible season by claiming her fifth title of 2023.
In a social media post shared by the tournament, Gauff arrived on Tuesday night with her family and coaching team. The teenage American star met Gustavo Santoscoy Garcia, who is the WTA 1000 tournament director in Guadalajara at the moment.
Gauff arrived in Cancun to be greeted by a Mariachi band representing Mexican music and culture, similar to some of her competitors who had already taken in for the competition.
Gauff conducted her first training session less than twenty-four hours after landing. To finish the year in the Top 3, she is fighting strongly with Elena Rybakina and, to some extent, Jessica Pegula.
However, she is able to draw one of Aryna Sabalenka or Iga Swiatek, as well as possibly Jessica Pegula, a fellow doubles partner. At the 2023 WTA Finals, Gauff will compete in both singles and doubles matches.
