Emma Raducanu’s comeback event has a star-studded lineup, and the countdown to the 2021 US Open champion’s return is now underway. Raducanu hasn’t participated in a competitive match since she lost heavily to Jelena Ostapenko at the WTA Tour event in Stuttgart in April of last year.

She has since had surgery on both wrists and her ankle in an effort to treat persistent injury issues. Fans are following her development on her Instagram account as she makes a comeback after a six-month break from the game. She has been playing with more energy on the court.

It is now official that Raducanu plans to return during the first week of December at the Macau Tennis Masters exhibition event. IMG, who manage Raducanu’s large-scale marketing contracts, is hosting the tournament. Along with Raducanu, several well-known figures are confirmed to be entered.

The tournament’s official website announced this news and wrote: “The two-day indoor hard court mixed event will bring some of the top tennis players in the world to Macau, including four ATP players and two WTA players. The star-studded lineup features Olympic gold medalist and Swiss sensation Belinda Bencic, American powerhouses Taylor Fritz, who broke into the world’s top five this year, and Frances Tiafoe, who is among the world’s top 10, rising star Emma Raducanu, and Yibing Wu, the first Chinese player to win an ATP Tour title and shine on the international stage.”
