Time to celebrate for Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams after winning the Wimbledon title.
In theory Nole and Serena had to dance with something… traditional, but things got the other way round. Eventually, the choice of the song was a weird one as the 2 champions went for Night Fever!
Djokovic: I hope the tradition was not forgotten
Nole explained how they picked the song “I suggested the idea to Serena and Philip Brook and they accepted it. I hoped that the tradition was not forgotten.
I think Boris danced with Martina [Navratilova] and so I was very pleased because Serena is a great dancer.
I was thinking more of a waltz, something sophisticated for the surroundings , but Serena wanted to move a bit more and so we considered some more options and Night Fever came to life”.
