Goerges and Radwanska to play the 2012 Final in Dubai – Video and YouTube

In the never ending race for the top spots in the WTA ranking 2 more players are making their bidding.

The German had an inspiring victory over the defending champion and former world nr.1 Caroline Wozniacki.

The interesting stuff is that Goerges defeated the Dane for the 3rd straight time in less then 1 year.

‘When you see the draw you never expect to get to the final,’ she said ‘It’s amazing to be in the final and to beat Caro again. I just tried to stay aggressive and play my kind of game.’

‘Today was just a day where you try, you try, you try, and it just doesn’t work. You know, you have some of these days sometimes,’ said Wozniacki, who will also defend title-holder?s points at her next tournament, in Indian Wells the week after next.

‘Overall, I think I played some good matches. I can take some positives from it,’

On the other side of the draw Radwanska confirms a very good form defeating Jankovic (another former world nr.1) in 3 sets.

‘Actually she just started to play much better in the second set. I was really in trouble,’ Radwanska said. ‘But in the third set, I was just trying to be focused on my game and just fight until the end.

‘I think also the second game of this third set was the key in this match. Because I think I really get more confident after that and I think she gets a bit angry.’
