Paula Badosa, the Spanish tennis sensation, has candidly expressed her longing for her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas, as she continues to recover from a back injury. Tsitsipas, currently participating in the Asian tennis swing, has faced early exits at both the China Open and the Shanghai Masters.
The couple’s romantic journey began to take shape during the 2023 Italian Open in Rome, with Tsitsipas congratulating Badosa on her victory over Ons Jabeur. The two officially confirmed their relationship during Wimbledon with a social media post.
However, it has been a challenging season for Badosa. Formerly ranked No. 2 in the world, she had to withdraw from the Australian Open due to an abductor issue and subsequently had to pull out of the French Open, Wimbledon (mid-tournament), and the US Open due to a stress fracture in her lower back.
In an interview with SDNA, Badosa discussed her struggles with the spinal stress fracture and her recovery plans. She aims to be back in action alongside Tsitsipas in January, highlighting the sensitivity of her spinal injury.
As Paula Badosa looks forward to her recovery and a return to top form, her longing for Stefanos Tsitsipas’s success on the tennis court underscores the personal aspect of their athletic journeys.
