Dominic Thiem and Kristina Mladenovic have been dating for at least 2 years, and their bond is stronger than ever.
It is well known that even if from one side it is not easy dating a fellow tennis player, from another the advantage is that the better half can fully understand the issues involved with having this particular life.
Besides practicing together, Thiem and Mladenovic are often supporting each other during their tournaments. Dominic was in Kristina’s box 2 days ago in Madrid when she was battling against the seed no.2 Petra Kvitova. That didn’t end well for the Frenchwoman, but at least she could rely on Dominic’s support.
On Tuesday, the positions were inverted when it was Kiki to support Dominic during his match against the American giant Reilly Opelka.
Mladenovic was also on fire during the contest, and he could not contain herself when Dominic finally managed to break Opelka in the second set. Eventually, the Austrian won the match after the American had to withdraw at the beginning of the 3rd set.
About their relationship
Talking about their relationship, Kiki commented
“We understand each other perfectly; we know what the other is going through, we know the way the other one can feel. Also on tour for travelling it also makes it easier because we have such a crazy busy schedule.
So it’s always nice when you have your better half that can easily travel with you and also support you, see your match and understand what you’re doing.”
