Bad news from Rafael Nadal that confirms that he is struggling with his fitness.

The Spanish legend has been battling with a virus to postpone his training session and press conferences continuously. Eventually, Rafa had some practice, but it was clear he wasn’t at his best. The world no.2 had to attend a press conference finally, and he was frank about his conditions.

“Not gonna lie, I still have not positive feelings regarding my health. But at least I’ve been able to practice a bit. I hope tomorrow I’ll continue to feel better. But the body is more weak, and it’s a risk of injury, but it’s an important event for me.”

Why Nadal may not play

Nadal will face Felix Auger-Aliassime in his opening match, and if he is not at his best, he can definitely be upset.

Rafa is used not to disclose his problems. When he talks so plainly about the possibility of being injured, it means that there are strong possibilities he is not going to play at all.
