This Wimbledon has been a sheer nightmare for Genie Bouchard.
The 2014 runner-up crashed out in the opener at the hands of qualifier and world no.117 Ying-Ying Duan and she has been also questioned by the umpire (no official sanction).
Bouchard: I didn’t know
Genie commented “I was not aware of that at all. And no one told me anything about my bra,”
The rule
The official rule states “Any undergarments that either are or can be visible during play (including due to perspiration) must also be completely white except for a single trim of colour no wider than one centimetre (10mm). In addition, common standards of decency are required at all times.”
