Will Roger Federer play the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome after Madrid?

Why Federer may play in Rome
For the time being Roger has confirmed his participation only in Madrid and at the French Open, but there is 1 thing that makes the tennis fans in Italy more and more hopeful of seeing the Swiss playing in Rome.
Tournament director Sergio Palmieri commented
“Federer is entered to play, which is different from the last two years when he withdrew ahead of time. So the fact that he’s entered means it’s possible for him to play. It’s impossible to predict, though.
Knowing him, it’s more probable that he’ll come only if he’s playing well.”
Recently, Federer’s coach Ivan Ljubicic admitted that there are still chances to see Roger competing in Rome (article).
