Good news from Naomi Osaka that she is probably fit to compete in Madrid.
The Japanese had to withdraw last week before playing the Stuttgart semifinal because of an injury to her abs. It was unclear the entity of the damage, but it seemed that Naomi was optimistic.
Eventually, the Japanese decided to go and train at the Rafa Nadal Academy for one week to recover from the injury and possibly get ready for the upcoming WTA Premier event.
Naomi posted on Instagram a “thank you” message to Nadal and its Academy for being hosted stating that she was about to fly to Madrid. That means that Naomi’s injury is probably (and hopefully) fixed and we will see her playing next week.
