Naomi Osaka is craving for having a good run on her least favorite surface: the red clay.
The world no.1 had a decent run in Stuttgart when she was stopped only by an abs injury in the semifinal. On that occasion, she confirmed that while she was disappointed by being injured, in a way she was “happy” that that happened not close to the French Open.
Osaka decided not to go back to the US to recover from her injury; instead, she opted to go to one of the best places in Europe to get ready for the dirt: the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca.

Will Naomi Osaka play the Madrid Open or Rome?
It is still unclear if Naomi will participate in the upcoming event in Madrid or she will be back to the tour in Rome.
However, the fact that Naomi chose to go to Mallorca from Stuttgart instead of going straight to Madrid and get prepared for the tournament that will be staged in altitude could be a hint that she will compete only in Rome ahead of the French Open.
