MUNICH. Alexander Zverev is not in a fantastic place right now. The German sensation had a press conference in Munich where he wanted to explain why he is struggling so much to put on the table his problems.

The 22-year-old confessed that the lawsuit with his former management company, the hospitalization of his father for an illness, and breaking up with his girlfriend Olya Sharypova made him lose some focus.

Alexander will try to be back to winning ways in Munich where he won the title for the last 2 years.

Becker coaching Zverev in Munich

Ivan Lendl wasn’t with Sascha in Munich and German legend Boris Becker decided to pay a visit. Boris is very close to Sascha and he also trained him as the German Davis Cup coach. Therefore, many were expecting Zverev to hire his compatriot has his “celebrity” coach, but instead, the youngster went for Ivan Lendl.

Last year in Munich, Zverev stated that he was very happy with his team and he would consider adding only 2 people: either Lendl or Becker (interview)

As soon as Boris arrived in Munich, after a big hug he climbed up on the chair umpire to dish out tips to Sascha on some basic strokes (forehand and backhand) while Zverev was training with Sergej Bubka junior.

Becker has been critical for Novak Djokovic’s success in the past, will he help Sascha to achieve the same?
