Murray wins 2 matches in 1 day to grab 4th title at Queens

What a day for Andy Murray!

The world no.3 had to win he semifinal against Troicki and the final against Anderson in the space of few hours at the Queen’s club.

The Scott couldn’t finish his semi the day before against Troicki because of the rain, so on Sunday everything resumed from a 3-all score-line. Murray had a quick start to immediately win the first set and grab the second after he was 1 break down. The final score was 6-3 7-6 (4).

After few hours Andy had to face boom boom Anderson in the final, but things got rather easy from the beginning to win with a comfortable 6-3 6-4. Match Stats.

Murray: I served extremely well

Andy was quite pleased with his performance especially in the final “I served extremely well. I wasn’t expecting to have loads of opportunities with the way he had been serving this week and the way the courts were playing, so thankfully when the [break point] chances came, I managed to come up with some kind of instinctive shots and guess the right way on a couple of shots, and managed to get the breaks.

I felt like once I got into the rallies I was doing really well, but it was obviously tough to do that some of the times. He served an extremely high percentage of first serves and was serving big. But it was a good performance.”

This is Murray’s 4th title at the Queen’s Club, the 3rd of the seasons after Munich and Madrid (both on clay) and the 34th of his great career.
