After her visit to China was over, Emma Raducanu said that she was eager to return to the country later this year. After enduring three surgeries and being sidelined since May, Raducanu finally made the decision to travel to China.
Raducanu spent time with her loved ones in China, but she also used the trip to train and practice. Raducanu posted her images of the tour on Weibo and wrote: “Farewell to beautiful China, see you in the second half of the year.”
Given that Raducanu’s mother Reene is from Shenyang, the feeling of her connection to China shouldn’t come as a surprise. Raducanu recently discussed her first trip to China since 2019 in an interview.
Raducanu expressed her feelings about her mother’s hometown and said: “I really love it here in China. I would spend three weeks here every summer since before I can remember and to be back here feels so comforting.”
