Emma Raducanu has disclosed that she is going to miss the rest of the year. After having surgeries on both wrists and one ankle at the start of May, the 20-year-old British player was forced to skip the recent US Open as well as the French Open and Wimbledon.

Following her return to the practice court last month, Raducanu, who dropped out of the top 200 players in the world this week, had hoped for an autumn comeback.

She informed the media in an interview: “Next season I’ll be back. This season all the slams were finished so it was difficult to watch them go by but I was trying to stay in my lane as much as possible and keep focused on my recovery.”

Since winning the US Open in 2021, Raducanu has struggled with injuries. She has only participated in 10 matches this year and hasn’t advanced into the second round of any major slam.
