Genie Bouchard and Michael Joice part ways after a “decently” good partnership.
Genie and Michael started their collaboration in November 2018, and it seemed that everything was going pretty well after a good run in Luxembourg where Genie reached the semifinal after starting from the qualifications. Later the Canadian reached the quarters in Auckland and Newport, but then things started to go sideways again with Bouchard winning only 1 of her last 7 matches.
The Canadian took a break for tennis to recover from an abs injury and there were some speculations that she took an indefinite break from tennis. However, Bouchard branded these speculations as fake news.
Parting ways with her coach
Michael Joice announced on Twitter that he and Genie decided to split to reveal: “Genie and I have mutually decided to end our professional relationship at this time. I wish her all the best.”
