Camila Giorgi and rising star Belinda Bencic will play for their first career title.
Giorgi
The Italian Beauty has reached the final after defeating Kiki Bertens 6-2 6-4 in the semis, but the real highlight of her tournament was beating Shvedova 4-6 6-3 7-6 (9) after saving 3 match points.
Camila has already reached 3 finals in her career in Katowice (2014, 015) and in Linz (2015)
Bencic
The 18 years-old has reached the final after beating Jankovic 6-3 6-3 in the semis. Belinda’s best match was also in the quarters when she defeated Mladenovic 7-6 (4) 6-7 (4) 7-5 saving 3 match points (same as Camila in her quarter).
Belinda commented “I think I’m more proud of reaching the final here in Den Bosch because I’ve had to play tougher players at this one. For sure I’ll watch the other semifinal and we’ll see how it goes.”
Head to head
Camila and Belinda played only 1 and in that occasion the Swiss won 6-4 7-5. Giorgi should be the favorite.
