Last weekend’s US Open victory by Coco Gauff, her maiden Grand Slam victory, saw ESPN break viewing records. The 2022 final between Iga Swiatek and Ons Jabeur was surpassed by Gauff’s three-set victory over current world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday, which attracted 3.4 million viewers, a 92% increase over that match. This made the 2023 US Open final final the most-watched women’s singles match ESPN has ever broadcast.

More than one million fewer people watched the men’s final between Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev, which had a viewership of 2.3 million.
