The 20-year-old American tennis player has made headlines for both his talent and his exemplary character. Shelton highlighted the impact of his friends, especially Coco Gauff, on how he handled dealing with his legacy.
He views Gauff as a mentor despite their four-year age difference because Gauff has been on the tour longer and has more experience.
Due to their close bond, a lot of dating rumors have circulated about them. Gauff’s depiction of Shelton as a ‘little sister’ seems to confirm that their friendship exceeds personal relationships. Shelton told this in the interview: “No! Not a big sister, not at all. Coco is a little sister to me!”
