Felix Auger Aliassime wins his first match in Barcelona with a straight-sets win over Malek Jaziri on Wednesday.
The match
The 18-year-old took full advantage of a fast start (4-1) in the first set to win the opener 6-3 with the Tunisian struggling with his left ankle. However, Malek managed to compete pretty well especially in the second set when both players remained on serve. Therefore, the affair went to the breaker and Felix had to save 3 set points (4-6 and 6-7) before conquering the breaker and win the match 6-3 7-6 (7) in 1 hour and 46 minutes.

Felix will face the world no.7 and 2015 champion Kei Nishikori for a place in the quarters. There is no head to head record since this is the first time that Felix and Kei face each other on tour.
