Djokovic With Federer

John McEnroe and Novak Djokovic had an honest conversation that attracted a lot of media attention on ESPN in the United States.

The debate arose on the topic of who should go down in history as the best player, and Djokovic claimed that his intense rivalries with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer made him a better player. In addition, he claimed that Federer had taught him a lot about how to prepare for important events.

Djokovic expressed his thoughts about Federer and said: “One thing that I learned from Federer is how to organize my schedule and to be able to peek at the Grand Slams.”

He further added: “He was one of the first players to really take the scheduling preparation to a different level. I was inspired by that and I was making notes. I was taking a lot from that, from that scheduling and observing him and his team and how he has gone about it.”
