Bad news for Simona Halep‘s fans as the Romanian had to withdraw from the WTA event in Stuttgart because of a hip injury.
The world no.2 gave everything in the Fed Cup tie against France when Romania lost 3-2 after being defeated in the deciding set of the doubles. Unfortunately, during the tie, Simona got injured to release the following communicate:
“I’m really disappointed to withdraw from @PorscheTennisI fell and landed badly on my hip during Fed Cup and I need to take the right precautions and rest. Stuttgart is one of the best tournaments on our calendar and I can’t wait to be back!”

Will Simona Halep play in Madrid?
The Romanian is still widely expected to compete in Madrid (6th of May) where she won the title in 2016 and 2017 (titles).
