The tennis community on social media hasn’t taken former World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz’s recent attendance at a bullfighting event kindly, as evidenced by their remarks. The Spaniard received harsh criticism for his support of a bullfight that took place earlier on Monday (September 11) at the Plaza de Toros de La Condomina in Murcia, Spain. This incident happened after he lost to Daniil Medvedev, a 27-year-old Russian, in a thrilling four-set match in the 2023 US Open quarterfinals.

The Spaniard was unable to defend his title in New York as a result of the defeat. Tennis supporters were incensed that Carlos Alcaraz was taking part in the contentious national custom and turned to social media to vent their full indignation.

of September when he lost to world no.3 Daniil Medvedev 7-6(3) 6-1 3-6 6-3 in the semifinal of the U.S. Open (draw).
