While preparing for her tennis comeback, Emma Raducanu had a wonderful time traveling to Shenyang, the hometown of her mother. Raducanu comes from a mixed family because her mother Renee is from Shenyang and her father Ian is from Romania.
In an interview with Porsche Raducanu said: “I really love it here in China. I would spend three weeks here every summer since before I can remember and to be back here feels so comforting.”
Raducanu appreciates everything the city has to offer and feels at home in Shenyang. She further added: “Shenyang, my mom’s hometown, to visit most of my family, and re-immerse myself in the culture. We especially pride ourselves on the food in Shenyang. It is one of the best and is something that I have grown up with and love.”
Raducanu is currently focusing on getting ready to play tennis again. Raducanu underwent surgery on her left ankle and both wrists in May. Raducanu has resumed working out and practicing, and she is certainly hopeful that she will soon be ready to play again.

At the moment ranked no.194, Emma played her last match on the 18th of April when she lost to world no.16 Jelena Ostapenko 6-2 6-1 in the 1st round in Stuttgart (draw).
Until now, during this year Emma has achieved a composed 5-5 win-loss record.
