Rafael Nadal wants to have a solid season on grass to recover the points he “missed” after a disappointing clay court season.
The King of Clay decided to play in Stuttgart (first year on grass) and Halle before heading to Wimbledon to be better prepared for the Championships.
Rafa has already won the title in Stuttgart in 2005 and 2007, but that was on clay.
Rafa is seeded no.1 to probably face Rosol in the first round (bad memories…). The other seeds are Cilic, Lopez, Monfils, Tomic, Kohlschreiber, Thiem and Troicki.
The defending champion is Bautista-Agut.
Possible quarters
Nadal – Tomic
Monfils – Kohlschreiber
Troicki – Lopez
Cilic – Thiem
