For Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, the last 24 hours have just raced by as he proceeded from overcoming Daniil Medvedev in the US Open final to spending time with his family. At an age when many stars start to lose their shine, he has just won his 24th Grand Slam title. Djokovic’s resilience and determination continue as he has officially declared his participation in the 2019 Davis Cup as well.
When the Davis Cup tournament gets underway next week, Serbia will play South Korea, the Czech Republic, and Spain in a highly challenging group for Novak’s team. With players like Laslo Djere, Miomir Kecmanovic, Dusan Lajovic, and Hamad Mededovic in what appears to be a very good team, Novak will captain his country and secure the way to the next round.
