After defeating Daniil Medvedev in the 2023 US Open final on Sunday, Novak Djokovic made history by earning his 24th Grand Slam title.
Two years after losing to Medvedev in straight sets at Flushing Meadows, Djokovic flipped revenge on the Russian to win his fourth US Open title. The 36-year-old’s victory made him the oldest US Open men’s singles champion in history.
Frequently, Djokovic’s conduct with the fans off the court is questioned, and his aggressive play is viewed unfavorably. In a video before his US Open title win, Djokovic was seen having fun with a kid during a warm-up match on the court.
