Coco Gauff proclaimed herself a champion as soon as she left the court in Arthur Ashe Stadium with her first Grand Slam trophy in hand and the stardom started for her.
Gauff has been playing in the fourth round of Wimbledon since she was 15 years old, but after winning the U.S. Open women’s singles title on Saturday, the spotlight may get shining and the fame may become overwhelming.

Gauff has shown a calm maturity during her time in the spotlight, and she declared herself up for the challenge of achieving even greater fame and wealth while still attempting to win significant tournaments.

After beating Sabalenka in the US Open final, Gauff said: “I’m ready, I embrace it. I know how to keep my peace, but also embrace all of this around me.”

Gauff’s coach Pere Riba acknowledged her potential and expressed his thoughts about her: “She is so humble. Her work ethic is so strong, so professional and she has very good manners. Put all of that together and she will only get better. She can handle it all.”

Currently ranked no.3 (career-high), the American played her last match on the 9^th of September when she beat world no.1 Aryna Sabalenka 2-6 6-3 6-2 in the final of the U.S. Open to win her 6^th career title.

This season Gauff has achieved a composed 45-13 win-loss record. The American has won 4 titles in 2023 in Auckland, Washington, Cincinnati and U.S. Open.
