Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz have started an interesting rivalry that unfortunately will not be carried over into the Davis Cup. Soon after losing to Daniel Medvedev, Carlos Alcaraz announced that he would not play in the Davis Cup for Spain. Probably the decision also came also after his performance for Team Spain was not that great last year after winning the US Open. Therefore, the Spanish sensation decided to take a break. Quite surprisingly, Novak Djokovic, after winning the US Open, confirmed that he will play for Team Serbia in the upcoming Davis Cup despite his effort and age (36).

It was rather surprising to see Novak Djokovic confirming his participation at the Davis Cup while speaking in perfect Spanish. The Serbian sensation has many talents and one of them is speaking many languages. Novak probably mastered his Spanish while spending a lot of time with his family in Marbella. He also speaks perfect Italian and French.

Currently ranked no.1, the Serbian played his last match on the 10th of September when he defeated world no.3 Daniil Medvedev 6-3 7-6(5) 6-3 in the final of the U.S. Open to win his 96th career title.
