On Sunday, September 10, Coco Gauff received congratulations from renowned tennis player Roger Federer for winning her first Grand Slam match. Since Serena Williams won the US Open in 1999, no American teenager had won the tournament until Florida’s Coco Gauff, a 19-year-old tennis sensation. Gauff won her first slam on September 9, 2023, at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, marking a key turning point in her young career after a fantastic performance during the entire American summer.
