Gauff Talks After Us Open Win

Coco Gauff won the US Open title with a final score of 2-6 6-3 6-2 and overcame the newly ranked world number one, Aryna Sabalenka. Gauff’s victory was his first in a Grand Slam competition, moving him up to number three ranking in the world.

The Arthur Ashe Stadium was actually rocked by the excitement of the young tennis star Gauff when she competed in the final match for the title. After winning, Coco expressed her happiness while also being harsh to those who had criticized her throughout her game.

Gauff expressed her thoughts in the on-court interview and said: “Honestly, thank you to the people who didn’t believe me. I mean, like a month ago I won a 500 title and people said I would stop at that. Two weeks ago I won a 1000 title and people were saying that was the biggest it was gonna get. So three weeks later I’m here with this trophy right now.”

She further added some remarks about the people who criticized her and didn’t believe her in her journey. She stated: “I tried my best to carry this with grace and I’ve been doing my best. So honestly to those who thought were putting water in my fire, you’ve really added gas to it. And now I’m really burning so bright right now.”
