In their short period of working together, experienced tennis instructor Pere Riba acknowledged his appreciation for Coco Gauff.

Pere Riba, who was a very skilled professional tennis player, has evolved into a well-respected coach. The Chinese player Qinwen Zheng’s ascent to the Top 25 is his most famous coaching achievement, and we are already observing his gentle influence on Gauff’s game in addition.

Early in the course of the year, Riba made the decision to work with Gauff, and the American’s development under his guidance has been absolutely fantastic. Although Riba excelled on clay courts as a player, the professionalism and commitment he can instill in Gauff’s game is priceless.

Riba stated some remarks about Gauff in a recent interview and said: “Now I understand why the people love Coco Gauff. It is not only because she is an amazing tennis player. She’s also an amazing, amazing person. I did not know she was like that. I was expecting less. When you know more about her you can see that is how she is – her education, her manners, how she treats people, and the way that she finishes the practice. She is taking care of the things.”

Riba appears to have a relaxing effect on Gauff’s gameplay. Despite the fact that Gauff is more than capable of both short- and long-term success, Riba continues to place more attention on the long-term.

He further added: “I really wish that she win the US Open. But it is not mandatory. She is going to try, she is going to fight, she is going to give the 100 percent, but step by step, hitting the ground and working every day, is what we are doing.”
