In the US Open second-round match with Christopher O’Connell, Daniil Medvedev asked two spectators to “shut up” in an attempt to express his frustration with the audience.

The situation worsened when one of the supporters blew a kiss in Medvedev’s direction as the Russian shouted at his angry supporters. As Medvedev prepared to serve, the two spectators moved to take their seats, which distracted him and made him irritated and stop the serve.

One of the fans blew a kiss towards him on which Medvedev shouted and said: “Are you stupid or what?”

He further said in anger: “Can you shut up?”
