Djokovic beaten by Medvedev in Monte Carlo

Djokovic lost to Medvedev in 3 sets after a not-so-good performance

Djokovic struggling in Monte Carlo

Novak Djokovic is struggling with his results after his magnificent triumph at the Australian Open where he demolished in the final an in-form Rafael Nadal (6-3 6-2 6-3). The Serbian crashed out in the 3rd round in Indian Wells, in the 4th in Miami and now he couldn’t go beyond the quarters in Monte Carlo.

How Djokovic lost to Medvedev

Nole started his quarter against Medvedev in the worst possible way after he was broken in the very first game at 15. The Russian managed to hold for the rest of the set before breaking the Serbian again in the last game and win the opener 6-3.

The world no.1 bounced back in the second set to always hold his serve and conquer the decisive break in the 3rd game and win 6-4.

Djokovic lost his concentration completely in the 3rd set to find himself trailing 1-5 in no time. The world no.1 broke Medvedev in the 7th game (2-5) before conceding his serve again and losing the match 6-3 4-6 6-2.
