Rafael Nadal‘s triumphal march in Monte Carlo remains uninterrupted after he defeated an in-form Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets.
The match
Rafa started strongly to conquer a fast 4-1 lead after breaking Dimitrov in the 4th game (3-1). However, the Bulgarian refused to fold to break back in the 7th game (4-3) to then hold and make it even (4-4). Unfortunately for Grigor that was the end of it since Rafa conquered 8 of the following 9 games to win 6-4 6-1 and that was the same scoreline that Nadal defeated Dimitrov last year in the semifinal in Principality. The match ended after 94 minutes, and Nadal now leads Dimitrov 12-1 in head to head matches.
