Monte Carlo. Alexander Zverev didn’t start this season in the best possible way after his great title at the ATP Finals in London last year.

This year, the German sensation crashed out in the 4th round in Melbourne, he reached the final in Acapulco before losing in the 3rd round in Indian Wells, in the Miami and Marrakech. However, Zverev impressed in his opening match in Monte Carlo after he conceded just 5 games to the rising star Felix Auger Aliassime.

Zverev’s injury problems

During a recent interview, Sascha commented about his struggles to reveal

“This year I played only two events healthily: Australian Open and Acapulco. In Indian Wells, I was doing bad, and in Miami, I had healed, but I had not trained a lot, and I had not recovered well. I could not play well. People doubted of me in the past too.”

Sascha is about to play his 3rd round against Fabio Fognini. The head top head is 2-0 for German that has always beaten the Italian in straight sets.
