With regard to the US Open's court selection, Holger Rune criticized that the ATP "always gives" him "the worst courts."

Holger Rune Upset Court No.5

Holger Rune criticized the US Open’s court choice, saying that the ATP “always gives” him “the worst courts.” Rune, the no. 4 ranked player, is preparing to compete in his third US Open, but the 20-year-old is not pleased with how his match against Roberto Carballes Baena will be scheduled on the court.

When Rune found out he would be appearing in Court Five later today, he showed up to tweet something sarcastic. He posted: “Usopen site map. In case you can find court 5, this is where I play my first match on Monday followed by 11:00.”

Rune has recently repeated this in an interview with Peter Bastiansen of Danish television, who termed the scheduling very disrespectful.

Rune stated: “I completely agree. It is two ATP managers/supervisors who always give me the worst courts. So that’s how it is.”

He further added: ” But I don’t mind complaining about it. I have a tournament to win and I have to be focused. I have to do my best, no matter what court I’m on.”
