Alcaraz Wins At Wimbledon Against Djokovic

In an effort to reclaim the top spot later today, Novak Djokovic has said he wants to play Carlos Alcaraz in another final at the US Open for “the fans.”

The press has questioned Djokovic about whether he believes this rivalry can survive for ten years with Alcaraz after his most recent triumph at Cincinnati.

Djokovic replied to the questions about his rivalry with Alcaraz and stated his remarks: “I’m not so sure about that, but I’ll try to play at a high level for as long as possible. We have played three amazing, epic matches against each other at Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and Cincinnati recently. All the matches went the distance; they were physically grueling and demanding, but very exciting and close matches.”

He further added: “The fans want to see a rivalry; they want to see the best players in the world go toe-to-toe. Hopefully, we can give them another match here in New York.”

Djokovic is making his first participation at the US Open since 2021 after missing the competition last year due to his COVID-19 vaccination status.
