WTA Rankings. Amanda Anisimova, Iga Swiatek fly in the rankings

Two 17-year-old from American and Poland record considerable gains in the rankings.

During last week we had a couple of “minor” tournaments in Bogota’ and Lugano that ended up with interesting runs that affected some positions of WTA rankings in the top100.

Anisimova

Amanda won her maiden career title in Bogota’ after an extremely complicated run. The success helped her to gain 22 places in the rankings to be the new world no.54 (career high and more to come). The American climbed up 21 places in the Year To Date rankings to be no.22.

Swiatek

Iga reached the final in Lugano before losing to Polon Hercog. After this run, she went up 27 places in the rankings to be the new world no.88 (career high).

Hercog

Polona won her 3rd career title in Lugano coming absolutely from nowhere. After this title, she goes up 25 places in the rankings to be the world no.64.
