Daren Cahill, former professional player and tennis coach, will be visiting Cluj, Romania, as part of the Sports Festival, from 14th – 16th of June. Simona Halep, the Romanian professional tennis player who’s currently ranked two in the WTA rankings, is excited to see Cahill at the event.
Both of them are guests of the festival, which gives them a great opportunity to catch up. Simona Halep will be at the event playing two exhibition matches against Flavia Pennetta. She will also play a mixed doubles game against Fabio Fognini and Flavia Pennetta, with Marius Copil as her partner.
Darren Cahill is going to be at the festival to host his masterclass. During his event, he will teach participants about how to train athletes along with tips to make strategies adaptable. His skill is well-renowned throughout the world, as he transformed three tennis players into world-class athletes. Due to his immense experience as a coach and player, his knowledge is second to none.
It is great to know that Simona Halep is excited to meet Darren Cahill during the event. Cahill was Halep’s coach since 2015. However, in November 2018, he announced that he wouldn’t be a part of her coaching team for a year.
He said that he wanted to take a break, as he wanted to spend time with his family. As his children are entering an important stage in their lives, it is understandable why he went ahead with his decision.
The duo should have an excellent reunion and have a wonderful time inspiring people to become athletes in the future!
