A charity event at the US Open exhibition featured NBA great Jimmy Butler, Frances Tiafoe, Carlos Alcaraz, and Sebastián Yatra, and it raised $320,000 for humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

Ukraine is still at war with Russia after its invasion in February 2022. Butler led the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals last season before losing to the Denver Nuggets.

Butler competed in doubles with Tiafoe against the reigning champion Alcaraz and Grammy winner Yatra. Butler initially showed up as a ball boy, but he later challenged Alcaraz by taking Frances Tiafoe’s racket. His “drop shot” plan was a total hit.
