The world no.2 had the luxury not to get in his half Djokovic (ok… that was sure), Murray, Nadal and an in-form Ferrer.
Roger first obstacle will be an in-form Monfils that loves playing the Maestro on Clay and in front of his own crowd, but the Maestro was lucky enough to then get Wawrinka in the quarters and possibly Nishikori in the semifinal. Do not get it wrong, the Japanese is a real threat, but definitely better him in the final than Nadal, Murray or Ferrer… at least on paper.

3rd – Karlovic
4th – Monfils
¼ – Wawrinka
½ – Nishikori
