Since Iga Swiatek anticipates a challenging championship defense before the US Open, she is relieved to get a few days off.

Swiatek On A Mini Break

Iga Swiatek, who believes she has exhausted her resources in straight trips to the last four WTA 1000 events, has already declared that she will be taking the week off after losing in Cincinnati at the hands of Coco Gauff.

Swiatek is happy to have a few days off since she expects a tough title defense ahead of the US Open.

She recently informed this during a conversation and said: “I would say my tank of fuel is pretty empty. Honestly, I’m not even going to kind of regret a lot because I’m happy that I’m going to have days off now.”

Swiatek admitted that she wasn’t truly considering defending her US Open title while in Montreal and Cincinnati. She believes that while aiming to win major events, she didn’t need to put herself under additional mental strain.
