Bogota. Amanda Anisimova and Varvara Lepchenko will face-off in their second-round match at the WTA Bogota 2019. They are scheduled to play the match at the Cancha Central on Wednesday, 10th April 2019.

Anisimova managed to win her first-round match against Lisicki in three sets with the scoreline reading 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. Despite being outplayed in the first set, she came back strongly and simply outplayed Lisicki. But her shortcomings on the clay court were on display, and she managed to make a comeback owing to her talent. She has been seeded 6th for the tournament and is expected to perform better in the next match.
Varvara Lepchenko
Lepchenko produced a stunning display of high-quality tennis in her easy win over Kotsova in the first round. The scoreline of 6-3, 6-1 clearly indicates the clinical precision with which she decimated her opponent. Although her record this year has been average with 7 wins for 8 losses, she has all the skills necessary to excel on the clay court.

Anisimova will be head to head with Lepchenko in the second-round match at Bogota. This will be the first ever WTA face-off between these two. Based on her current form and superior skill-set, Anisimova is widely expected to emerge victoriously, but it would be a mistake to take her 32-year-old opponent lightly.
