After losing to Novak Djokovic in the Western & Southern Open final on Sunday, Carlos Alcaraz delivered an emotional call to the Cincinnati fans.

When the 20-year-old Spaniard spoke to reflect on his loss, he understood that win or lose, he had contributed to a memorable moment in tennis history.

Alcaraz shared an emotional moment in the post-match conference and said: “I feel proud of myself, honestly. I was talking and I don’t know why I was crying because I fought until the last ball. I almost beat one of the greatest of all time from our sport.”

Carlos Alcaraz broke down in tears while speaking to the media since his brother was there among the crowd to share his emotions.

Alcaraz was grateful to his brother for the support and he stated: “I have my brother here as well. It’s great to have you here, supporting me every day. To make me a better person, learning from you as well. Thank you for being with me.”
