After putting up a great show in Toronto, Carlos Alcaraz and Tommy Paul faced each other in Cincinnati where Alcaraz prevailed 7-6(6), 6-7(0), 6-3 in a third-round thriller.

Alcaraz was highly unhappy and frustrated with his performance at the Canadian Open, and in the days leading up to the match versus Paul in Cincinnati, he placed more priority on his daily work schedule.
