Ranked no.13, the former world no.1 has a 9-4 win-loss record in 2019. Caroline is chasing her first title of the season in Charleston (the 31st of her career!) where she accessed the final after defeating Laura Siegemund 6-2 6-2, Mihaela Buzarnescu 6-4 3-6 6-3, Maria Sakkari 6-2 6-2, and Petra Martic 6-3 6-4.
