Andy Murray Withdraws From Cincinnati

Due to an abdominal injury, Andy Murray withdrew from the Western & Southern Open late Monday night.

The former World No. 1, withdrew due to the same injury last week before his third-round match in Toronto against Jannik Sinner. He headed to Cincinnati after pulling out of that competition, but he is not prepared to compete there. I had a very similar issue last year in the tournament in Stuttgart before Wimbledon which forced me to miss the Queen’s Club tournament and I was able to play Wimbledon,” he said. “It took me about 10 to 12 days before I was feeling good again.”
